      Jim has looked after my own, my wife’s, my son’s and my daughter’s PC’s and laptops, and even iPads and iPhones, plus my company computers for God knows how long, probably 15 years or so. Jim will fix it is an apt name. The length of our relationship tells it all. I cannot imagine going to anyone else for help. I am a technical person myself with over thirty years of experience in IT and run my own business focusing on project management. My speciality does not however extend to small computers, but I know Jim. He will fix it.

      Jim came in today to fix a PC which had slowed to a halt and had been booting to the dreaded blue windows screen. It took him an hour and a half and the computer is now running as new. Jim is a real genius at IT and is the called in whenever my firm has an IT issue. His prices are very reasonable too (don’t tell him I said that in case he puts them up!)

    • I have worked with Jim Fernbank for many many years using his array of skills for my company.

      I can recommend him to be diligent creative and loyal to the end.

    Jim Fernbank has looked after my Islington media company’s IT for more than a decade, ranging from high end graphics to WIFI networking, and security, on a variety of Windows platforms from Windows XP to Windows 10. He also sorted out my private networking, and entertainment requirements. He is the PC consultant, who’s experience comes into its own, when lesser IT guys have long thrown in the towel, and given up. His computer knowledge is encyclopaedic. He usually manages to rise to the sometimes unsurmountable challenge, making the impossible possible, in getting Windows to do the things I want it to do. I look forward to working the next ten years with Jim. Tom K., Islington Green

    Jim has been helping me with my Dell computer, Apple iPad and iPhone since April 2004. He has been an absolute genius at sorting out issues, setting up the new Dell and finding solutions to problems which were really quite involved … and demanding. Jim is always available by phone and gets on to the case immediately. Initially, he came round to the house and quietly proceeded until everything was running smoothly. Now, he tends to address the problems remotely but always with the same successful result. I cannot recommend him highly enough; he is totally professional, reliable and courteous … and a pleasure to deal with, a gem.

    Jim’s sorted out my computers for the last decade or so – without fail … recovered an entire corrupted hard drive which saved my work – excellent service, faultless!!

    I highly recommend Jim for a flexible and helpful service that included diagnostic, collection + delivery, a new hard drive and a completely fixed pc – all at a very reasonable price.

    Resolving computer problems in Islington
    We’d used a local technician to sort out our computer problems for years but he moved on recently, and I realised that I needed help setting up a new PC, transferring docs from a back-up hard drive and so on. I came across Jim Fernbank when I was scouring the internet for help and as he lived conveniently close by, I asked him if he could help. He proved to be a good choice. He does house calls in the best tradition of computer doctors and will also take equipment back to his workshop to resolve problems. He is flexible, his fees are reasonable and best of all, he doesn’t make you feel like an idiot if you don’t know much about IT, but just need a problem fixed. Strongly recommended.
